Join Rabbi Katy on three Thursdays from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM on April 20, May 4, and May 18 (with May 25 as a rain date) for a series of leisurely walks covering 1 1/2 - 2 miles. Along the way, you'll stop to share readings and participate in meaningful discussions.
Each walk will take place at a different location, with carefully curated readings to help you connect with nature on a deeper level.
- On April 20, explore the Carol Getchell Trail, with selected readings from Being with Trees: Awaken Your Senses to the Wonders of Nature; Poetry, Reflections, and Inspiration.
- On May 4, discover the Upper Mill Brook Conservation Area, 107 Concord Road, Wayland, with readings from A Tree of Life: A Story in Word, Image, and Text by Katy Z. Allen.
- On May 18, journey to the Great Meadows Wildlife Refuge, Weir Hill Road, Sudbury, with selected readings from Rooted: Life at the Crossroads by Lyanda Lynn Haupt.
While it is suggested to purchase the books and read them ahead of time, it is not required to join in on the contemplative walks. The cost for all three walks is $25, or $10 per walk, with payment by credit card or check. Scholarships are available. Contact Rabbi Katy at rabbikza@gmail.com for more information.
