Learn about Wayland Electricity Choice, a type of group electricity buying program from the Town for residents and businesses. Participants in Wayland Electricity Choice get more electricity from renewable sources for a price that is lower than Eversource’s current residential Basic Service price (though future savings cannot be guaranteed). In addition, the program provides 24 months of electricity price stability, which means protection from winter electricity price spikes.

Wayland Electricity Choice changes the price that Eversource uses to calculate the Supply portion of our electric bill, which is the part of the bill where we pay for the electricity we use. But Eversource remains our electric utility and continues delivering our electricity, sending our bills, and addressing power outages.

Residents on Eversource Basic Service will move to Wayland Standard Green, with a higher percentage of renewables that Eversource, and at a lower price. There are choices to opt up to 100% green or select Wayland Economy with the lowest cost. More info at http://www.waylandelectricitychoice.com/
